NWAR is an animated detective series about stakeouts at take-out steakhouses, serial killers who only kill serial killers who only kill other serial killers, kidnappings, kids napping, and more. Because between cops and criminals, there are many shades of grey.
It was selected to screen at the 2014 New York Television Festival, was mentioned in Variety magazine, and played at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater as part of their monthly Channel 101 video competition from 2014-2017 (the same competition that was the source of Rick and Morty and Broad City).
It set the record for longest running show in Channel 101 NY history, with its 25-episode run. Along the way, it won awards for “Best Show” and “Best Writing” in Channel 101’s end-of-year awards show in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
I’ve written, illustrated, and animated every episode myself.
The show is broken up into 4 seasons, with the first 3 seasons encompassing the main story arc of the show. Season 4 functions as a sort of epilogue, and new one-off episodes will be released sporadically in the future. Bonus mini-episodes are also viewable on the YouTube channel.
